Jonathan's Birthday and Halloween

Here are pictures of some recent happenings with the Wrights:

Jonathan just wanted to hang out as a family for his 29th bday.  We chose to go to "open gym" night where Jacob takes Gymnastics at OSU.

Claire is another one of our little gymnasts.

Jacob helps Jonathan blow out the candles on his birthday cake.  Jonathan is modeling the headphones my mom and Turner got for him.   Now he can keep his class lectures and Boston music to himself when he studies on campus.

One morning as I was nursing Olivia, Claire decided to get herself a snack.  As soon as she dropped some crackers, she said, "I'll clean it up".  Here she is - "Cleaning it up" :)  .

Our kids were not too excited about cleaning out our pumpkin.    Jacob is trying to be brave here.

Jacob chose the pumpkin design.   It is a ghost.

Claire was "Merida" from the movie Brave.  I tried to curl her hair, but she has pieces that just would not curl.  She is going to LOVE that when she is older.  Olivia was a ballerina, though it is hard to tell in this picture.  Jacob is obviously an astronaut.  He is very excited about space.  He knows so much about space, he even knows things that I don't know.  Do you know the name of our neighboring galaxy?  Jacob does.  Do you know what Saturn's rings are made of?  Jacob does.  

Jacob and Claire got to do some "trick-or-treating" at Daddy's school.  

I know Jonathan's eyes are closed, but I still had to include this picture.  It was so cute to see the two of them watching football together.

Our kids are like most kids - they love mirrors.  Just had to capture this typical moment.

I should make sure to add that Jacob was chosen as the "superstar" of his class.  Each month the school has an award assembly and each teacher gets to choose one student in his or her class to receive the superstar award.  Jacob received it at his first award assembly.
Jonathan is SUPER busy again.  He has his first test for Biochemistry on Monday and is pretty nervous.  There is just so much to learn.  We rarely saw him last week.  We are grateful that he spends Sundays with us.
Claire is Claire.  She often finds herself in a Disney movie.  One minute she is Ariel, the next, Merida...Claire is so full of personality and spunk.
Olivia is finally rolling over!!!!  This adds so much more excitement to her day.  Of course, she will occasionally get stuck on her belly and we have to go and roll her back over.  She loves being more mobile.  She is also able to control her hands pretty well now and enjoying the fruits of her labors - like when she finally gets something into her mouth.  She is also really enjoying her "jumperoo".  It is so cute to watch her bounce with that adorable grin and the darling hair that always sticks up in the back.
I am staying busy with the kids and am trying my hardest to take care of myself so that I am not always exhausted.  I am taking a new Pi-Yo class at the gym (an upbeat mix of pilates and yoga).  The gym has free childcare, which is a HUGE blessing and it was only $99 dollars for 15 months....yeah, really....that is less than $10 a month.  I also have been getting into more whole foods.  I have been reading a great book called "In Defense of Food", by Michael Pollan.    It makes me crave vegetables - always a plus.  Oh yeah, and I have been learning some interesting things as well.  I have also been lucky enough to volunteer in Jacob's classroom each week.  I just bring the two girls with me.Last weekend, I went to Portland with some friends to an event called "Time Out for Women".  The event was on Friday evening and most of the day on Saturday.  We spent the night at a friend's mom's house in Portland on Friday night.  It was a so fun to have that time away with friends.  10 out of the 11 women who went are medical student wives.  I feel very blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful women.  In Portland, I also got to see some familiar faces from Central Point, which was nice.
