Happy 5 Month Birthday Jacob! A lot has happened this past month. For one, we all went down to Salt Lake a few weeks ago so that Jonathan could interview for a sales job with Orbit Medical. He ended up receiving an official offer from the company. This is the only job that he has applied for, so we still have more looking to do. There is a downside though, we would most likely move to Chicago. It would only be for 2 to 3 years though, because he will then be able to qualify for a good mba (masters of business administration) program at a university. Trust me, we are looking for jobs in the Northwestern part of the United States. School is going well for him even though this is his toughest semester. He has both an organic chemistry and genetics test this week!!!!! I remember those days....
We recently received temporary callings at church to coordinate the volunteers for the Rexburg Temple open house. The open house will run all through January, leaving lots of room for volunteers. We both feel so blessed to have this opportunity to be a part of this unique experience. Jacob went to the doctor's office this past month. He went a couple of weeks ago and weighed in at 16 lb.s 12 oz. and was 26.75" long. One of the most exciting events that has happened in Jacob's life this month of November was trying solid foods for the first time! The day before Thanksgiving he tried a little rice cereal mixed with breastmilk - YUM! Now he is on to bigger and better things - sweet potatoes. He can't seem to get enough or keep it all in his mouth. He also believes that he can handle it all on his own. He will grab onto the spoon and then won't give it back.
As for me, my life is my family as any mother knows. I love (nearly) every minute of it. We really are blessed. I can't get over how much I love Jonathan and Jacob more and more every day.
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We love you!
